The Experience
Come to the Center for Emerging Visual Artists to discover a rising art star. The artists who show their work here have been competitively chosen for the Center's program, which aims to help promising Philadelphia-area artists who aren’t yet represented by a gallery.
These emerging artists enter a two-year program, participating in individual and group shows in the Center^s gallery at the elegant Barclay building, and receiving guidance about navigating the complexities of the art world. Many artists have gone on to show their work in commercial galleries and museum^s, including sculptor Kate Moran, photographer Ron Tarver, and painters Charles Burwell, Vincent Desiderio and Wade Schuman are just a few.
