The Campus Philly Kick-Off Free Concert and Festival is a great event dedicated to the thousands of students that attend college in the Philadelphia area. It is held annually on the beautiful Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The festival is an all-day FREE extravaganza including music, food, entertainment, exhibitions, free admission to museums and, of course, tons of free stuff. And don't miss College Day on the Parkway, where participating museums will offer free admission!
Last year's festival included:
- Performances on MAIN STAGE by Talib Kweli, The Ataris, Against Me! and TUV Student Talent Showcase
- Performances on LOCAL STAGE by Beats & Rhymes, Philly Slick, Jealousy Curve and Trouble Everyday
- TNT Red Bull Freestyle Motocross: Three shows throughout the afternoon featured freestyle motocross legends Tommy Clowers and Jeff Tilton launching huge tricks off 60-and 90-foot jumps
- Philly Fellows Involvement Fair: Students got familiar with the non-profit, community-based organization and learned about opportunities to get involved
- College Day on the Parkway: Between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Philly's museums were FREE to college students with free shuttle buses operating between 12 different locations
- Voter Registration: The first 500 people to register to vote or display their voter registration card received exclusive front row standing room access in front of the main stage
- Flatland Freestyle skateboard demonstration
- Local Art Village: Featuring art from local artists to buy and see.
- Afterparty at Shampoo Niteclub: $10 reduced admission with Campus Philly discount.
