Outsider Tip
This creative garden has been cited as one of the top ten most exciting new gardens in the world by horticulture magazines.
Be prepared for an adventure of the senses as you wander through this botanical wonderland, a 35-acre “pleasure garden” on the grounds of the old Rosengarten estate. The gardeners here are also artists and they design their installations, incorporating wood, stone and metal. Thus, yyou’ll want to explore every nook and cranny of the trails that lead through orchards, wildflower meadows and perennials nestled among stone ruins.
For a parting memory, don’t miss the exotic Tropical Teacup garden and the imaginatively planted courtyard, which in summer is crammed with lush tropical plants, many bursting out of containers.
COME PREPARED
Dogs and smoking are not allowed.
DON'T MISS
The garden is open to 8 p.m. Friday nights, May - August, a great time to explore the garden during a warm summer evening.
