Outsider Tip
The Mann has great food kiosks in addition to the scenic Bravo Grill, however, bringing a picnic dinner is a tradition for many locals and understandably so.
Sit on the lawn and enjoy an amazing summer evening — complete with a picnic dinner, a lovely performance, a gorgeous view and maybe even a fireworks finale.
For this, its 30th anniversary season, the Mann has been made-over and is unveiling several great new features that make it more visitor-friendly than ever.
In addition to improved and easier-to-navigate parking, there’s a new Welcome Center and PECO Plaza, complete with ticket office, concierge amenities, food kiosks and brand new lighting.
The new Bravo Grill, now located on top of the hill and offering diners an amazing view of Fairmount Park and the Philadelphia skyline, gives the Mann a social center where, along with the PECO Plaza, you can meet friends before or after a performance.
As for the concert season itself, the Mann — one of the nation’s largest outdoor amphitheaters — seats 4,000 under cover and an additional 10,000 under the stars.
The summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Mann also offers music from pop to opera to funk, as well as Broadway and dance events.
DON'T MISS
The Young People’s Concert Series, occurring during the day on weekdays, features regional youth troupes and provides youngsters an opportunity to enjoy the work of their peers.
