The Army/Navy Game
One of the most storied rivalries in all of sports, the 109th Army / Navy game will return to Philadelphia in 2008.
Nothing captures the essence of fall like the crisp air and collegial atmosphere at a Philadelphia area college football game. Whether you barbeque, brunch or tailgate before the big game, this is homecoming season and Philadelphia's colleges and universities do it right.
The Penn Quakers take on the Yale Bulldogs Saturday, October 20 at historic Franklin Field. This is the Quakers' Homecoming game, a rematch of last year's overtime win by the Bulldogs — expect this to be a heated contest.
Another local power Villanova packs the crowds in for their home games. They host William and Mary on October 6 for their Homecoming Game. The Wildcats were a last-minute victor in last year's contest, so this year's squad should come out firing.
Finally, if you can't secure an Eagles ticket, take in a Temple football game at Lincoln Financial Field. National powerhouse Penn State travels to South Philadelphia on November 10, so support the Owls and experience pigskin at its finest.
