Step into Woodford, once an 18th century summer retreat, and leave the bustle of the 21st century city behind. You don’t have to be a connoisseur of colonial-period furnishing to know that you are seeing something very special here. After touring the mansion, step outside and wander Woodford’s grounds which lead deep into the heart of Fairmount Park.
Woodford is what an 18th century Georgian mansion looks like when money is no object. Although not as large as some homes, the furnishings, china and decorative arts are among the region’s finest.
