Outsider Tip
Check out the evening cruise, the city skyline is beautiful at night. The season runs from April to October, a deposit is required for chartering, and catering is available.
Call to Action
Your charter fee helps fund children’s programs. City Sail teaches underserved Philadelphia children to explore their abilities and learn about their environment while learning to sail. City Sail is always looking for volunteers. Check out www.citysail.org
You choose: Charter the whole boat, a 75-foot schooner available for three hour trips, or just sign up for a sunset trip on weekend evenings. Either way, you can bring your own picnic on board (wine included!) and just relax as you look back over the city skyline. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of sails suddenly filling with air as you skim the water, fresh wind pulling at your hair, all in view of the Center City skyline.
COME PREPARED
Boats leave from Penn’s Landing, near the seaport museum. No sailing skills required.
DON'T MISS
Light Up the River, a spring time party on the river, Mother's Day Cruises and Summer Sail, a weeklong program for teens to learn to sail.
