Wells Ferry Boat Rides
Wells Ferry Boat Rides
Enjoy a scenic, narrated boat tour on the Delaware River
Outsider Tip
You can bring along your dogs unless other passengers object.
Wells Ferry dates back to 1718, when King George I granted John Wells, the founder of New Hope, a license to operate the first ferry.
Today, you can ride in comfort and savor the gentle river breezes on the 37-foot "Star of New Hope," a pontoon boat which departs New Hope at exactly the same spot as the original ferry, the end of Ferry Street.
The scenic, narrated tour on the Delaware River will give you a little history and a glimpse of New Hope's varied architecture. On weekends, a guitar player offers a live entertainment.
COME PREPARED
Departs on the hour, from the end of May to mid-October, every day except Tuesday.
