More than 100 photographs of the fiercely independent painter will also be on display, creating a wonderfully intimate look at an extraordinary – and complex – artist.

36 Hours in Philadelphia with Frida Kahlo
The new Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art is an incredible showcase of the Mexican artist’s paintings and personal photographs. Coupled with special events at the Museum and throughout the city, the exhibition is the perfect excuse for a quick getaway to Philadelphia.
To sweeten the offer even more, we've created a Frida–themed weekend itinerary for you, complete with food, dancing, gardens and art. The itinerary — which you can also view as a photo gallery — is a two-night adventure in the City of Brotherly Love with plenty of authentic Mexican flavor and inspiring Spanish flair.
Happy reading – and happy traveling!
