The Nutcracker Details Once again it’s time to start — or continue — one of Philadelphia’s greatest holiday traditions. Bring your family to the grand Academy of Music for the Pennsylvania Ballet’s production of George Balanchine’s classic, The Nutcracker. No one can ever tire of the unforgettable characters in Clara’s holiday dream, brought to life with gorgeous costumes and incredible dancing.

Set to Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, Pennsylvania Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker has become a beloved tradition, attracting more than 50,000 people each year. This year's production boasts new colorful costumes designed by Judanna Lynn and spectacular sets by Peter Horne.

A number of additional activities surround this annual extravaganza, including special events, family-friendly parties, charitable opportunities, exclusive appearances and more.
